VINEYARD: Hills in the Illasi Valley, tuffaceous and alluvial soils, with stratified calcareous marine rocks; south-westerly exposure.

 

GRAPES:
Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and other grape varieties.

 

DRYING:
The time of the “appassimento” process depends on the climate and the grape variety.

 

AGEING:
Long maturation in oak barrels (minimum 3 years).

 

 

Matured in the bottle.

 


 

COLOUR:
deep ruby red with garnet highlights.

BOUQUET:
spicy and typical.

FLAVOUR:
full, warm and velvety, slightly toasted on the finish.

ALCOHOL CONTENT:
16,5 % Vol.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:
Grilled meats, roasts and game; very mature and sharp cheeses. A “meditation wine”.

18°-20°C
